Genki report and upcoming ISV!

ISV 2011

A while back we went to the Danish convention Genki!
It always feels so awesome to meet talented artists, this time we got to meet some danish ones! We're also very happy that the staff that helped us at the convention were very nice and helpful, that made the preparations for our lectures go really smooth. (^w^)_v
A lot of people were there at our lectures, so we hope Genki liked us too. We would very much like to cooperate with them again on future conventions. m(_ _)m
It's a lot of hard work for us to attend a convention, but it's always so rewarding once you're there!
Unfortunately our camera broke, so we don't have any report pictures to show you... (;_;)

BLYG report

BLYG 2011

A couple of weeks ago Nosebleed Studio headed to the Swedish boys love convention BLYG! (^0^)

Even though it was a smaller convention than we're used to it was a LOT of fun. Smaller conventions may not be so good from a sellers point of view, but they allow you to get closer to your customers. So we met a lot of great people and was really enjoying ourselves. (^.^)
Well, except for the +18 section of our table that were really popular, I wonder why... (o_ô)
It was also nice to not have to walk/take the bus for half an hour to get to the sleeping hall for once since it was located in the same building. (^.-)

Natalia gave a lecture on Yaoi/boys love manga and another one on How to draw boys love manga, from her experiences of drawing Ein Lied für Elise and her research on the matter.

Catarina was part of a panel discussing the Swedish manga translator who had hand drawn, lolicon manga pictues saved on his computer and got sentenced for child porn possesion. How can drawn pictures and actual photos ever get equalized?

Very interesting, indeed! (^.^)_v

Thank you for a very nice weekend!

SPX and UppCon report!

SPX 2011

Small Press Expo is such an exciting event. We're so grateful to get to meet nice people, impressed by our hard work we put into our comics and merchandise. It makes it all worth it! <3
We were happy to see that our new 5 Years Jubilee Anthology sold so well and that people were glad to buy the deluxe bag too (containing postcards, posters, pins, the anthology and of course a cute and stylish cotton bag) even though it cost a tad bit more. (^_^)

It was great to meet a lot of artist colleagues and see what they've been up to. We spent so much money on comics! (>_<)'
Thank you and hope to see you there next year! d_(^0^)_b

UppCon 2011A month later we went to UppCon...

Uppcon is where the fun is happening in the world of manga-Sweden. With their approx. 4000 visitors it's the biggest manga convention in the country. Of course Nosebleed Studio had to attend!
Unfortunately Alice couldn't make it, but her trustworthy boyfriend Guillaume helped us out a lot! (^w^)

There were some problems with the escalators that led up to Artist Alley so they had to close us off. But thanks to some unbelievable helpful and understanding functionaries we got to move to a better location.

UppCon 2011

Again we got to meet some awesome people, especially at the panel, the yaoi-presentation and the chibi-workshop we held. We had a lot of fun and will be happy to go there again!
